Week 4 (2/4) Horn + Zbrush

In the 1st itteration of the guardian, the horns were made of spikes i created via Mayas sweep mesh tool. After some thought I realized that they would stand out more if they didn't look exactly like horns but rather made you think about them like horms. So i redesigned them using cylinders to make it look more like it was energy. I had some difficulties combining everything. The idea was to combine them and then remove whatever was inside each cylinder but that proved to be more trouble than it was worth. Plus when I tried to work on it in Zbrush it started to look gross

So instead I went with spheres. It made them look more cloud like, which was perfect. It really nailed the look of energy flowing out. They even have enough polygons to make the transition and work in Zbrush alot easier.
