Week 3 Progress

During the weekend I worked on the Guardian Backstory and got some advice from my mentor on its design. I'm learning more about Miyazakis design process from Erli Ling, she suggested that I build on the world of the Guardian along with its origins. Originally this was going to be a creature meant to protect the forest. But instead I'm leaning more towards a Nausicaa of the valley of the wind kind of backstory. Humanity created giant monsters as machines of war but they turned and spread an unstoppable disease.

In my world the Guardian was meant to be a tool for war. It was given the ability to release healing magic on anthing around it. It was meant to keep soldiers safe and capable during battle. But now it utilizes that energy to heal any damage to its forest domain. I'm really excited for how this world is turning out
