While I do have the actual shape of the model decided, there is still a lot of detailing to do before I can move on:
Need to detail the face
Begin floral detailing in Zbrush
Detail horns in Zbrush
Zbrush body detail
I think the biggest thing right now is the face detailiing. The idea is that the guardians face was damaged while it was trying to crawl out of the destroyed base. So there needs to be some indentation in the face implying damage. The body detailing will basically be giving it joints to help imply movement. I think I can cheat a little bit while adding flora details. Certain parts can be covered up and I might not need to worry about detailing every single inch of its body.
I'm also considering just recreating the limbs in Zbrush, as Nimi suggested. If there is detailing that needs to be done, it is probably better to start in Zbrush then move it to maya
